Our Programs

The Paul Soquena Junior Golf Scholarship Program

Created in 2016, the Paul Soquena Junior Golf Scholarship Program was established to help youth in Hawaii and the Philippines. Each year, one girl and one boy in Hawaii that is affiliated with a golf program (i.e. Junior Golf, High School Golf Team, etc.) will be awarded a $2,500 Scholarship to help with their college tuition. Also, in the Philippines, 20 youth consisting of girls and boys ages 5 years old to 18 years old will be awarded a monthly allowance to help with their school expenses, meals and transportation. They also will have an opportunity to learn the game of golf through partnerships with golf courses.

The Amor E. Soquena Scholarship for Central Philippine University

Every year, one incoming student chosen from surrounding high schools will receive a scholarship for full-paid annual tuition to Central Philippine University for the duration of their studies every year until they graduate.

Good Shepherd’s Fold Orphanage Guimaras

The Mariano-Soquena Foundation, Inc. will support the orphanage annually by providing school supplies, books, computers, clothes, shoes, food, etc. to the children of the orphanage.

“It all started when I went back to the Philippines. I saw youth in need -and I had to do something about it.”
